Streszczenie: Rozwój policyjnego szkolnictwa oficerskiego i szczególna rola powierzona w tym względzie Wyższej Szkole Policji są przedmiotem rozważań podjętych przez autora w niniejszej publikacji. Dogłębnej analizie poddano szkolenie zawodowe (oficerskie), czyli szkolenie dla absolwentów szkół wyższych, będące jedną z dwóch oferowanych przez Wyższą Szkołę Policji w Szczytnie możliwości (po spełnieniu opisanych w tekście warunków i złożeniu egzaminu oficerskiego) mianowania na pierwszy stopień policyjny w korpusie oficerów młodszych. Szczegółowo omówiono ostatnie modyfikacje treści programowych i ostateczną wersję nowego programu szkolenia wypracowaną – po uwzględnieniu opinii i propozycji jednostek terenowych Policji, merytorycznych biur Komendy Głównej Policji oraz wydziałowych jednostek organizacyjnych Wyższej Szkoły Policji w Szczytnie – przez specjalny zespół powołany do opracowania projektu programu szkolenia. Obowiązujący od 2017 r. program uwzględnia nie tylko nowe treści, lecz także nowe rozwiązania dotyczące okresowego oceniania słuchaczy, które również przedstawiono w tekście.Innowacjom programowym powinna towarzyszyć modyfikacja przestarzałej formuły egzaminu oficerskiego, stąd w publikacji przedstawiono koncepcję zmian w tym względzie, która obejmuje zmianę formy (z pisemnej na ustną), zakresu tematycznego, sposobu oceniania, a także dokumentowania przebiegu i wyniku egzaminu.Słowa kluczowe: policja, szkolenie oficerskie, jakość kształcenia

Abstract: The development of the police commissioned-officer training course and a crucial role the Police Academy in Szczytno plays in this respect have become the issues under consideration for the author of this publication. There has been analysed in depth the professional (commissioned-officer) training course for university graduates, as being one of the two opportunities (having fulfilled the requirements presented in this paper and having passed the commissioned-officer exam) police officers have to get promoted to the first rank of commissioned officers, offered by the Police Academy in Szczytno. There have been discussed in detail recent modifications in the curriculum content and a final version of a new course curriculum which has been developed, after considering opinions and proposals made by police field units, relevant National Police Headquarters bureaus and departmental organisational units at the Police Academy in Szczytno, by a special team appointed to develop a draft course curriculum. Effective as from 2017, the curriculum includes not only the new content but also solutions as to the periodic assessment of trainees, which have been presented in the paper as well.

The curriculum innovations should be accompanied by the modification of an outdated form of the commissioned-officer exam, therefore the publication presents the concept for changes to the issue in question, which includes the change of the exam form (from a written into an oral one), content, assessment method as well as documenting the course and results of the exam.
